WNYC FM Sign-off circa 1949, recorded four times.

"And now your city station WNYC-FM broadcasting on a frequency of 93.9 megacycles leaves the air. The voice of New York City has been at your service bringing you the finest music, the latest news and public service programs of special interest. Your city station operates under the direct supervision of Mayor William O'Dwyer with Seymour M. Segel as director. And so, until 7 o'clock tomorrow morning, the voice of New York City bids you all good night."

A chorus performs the Star-Spangled Banner.
