
Your 'We the Commuters' Ambassador, Fresh off the MTA Board Meeting
If you ever see Adam Payne on the subway, please thank him.
He volunteered to be the We the Commuters ambassador, speaking on behalf of all of the listeners who tweeted and submitted comments to WNYC's commuter project. And to do so, he spent two hours commuting from his home in Inwood to the MTA headquarters in the Financial District, another two hours waiting his turn (over 50 people spoke before him), all to read a two-minute statement.
Payne also submitted all 300+ listener-submitted comments for the board's review.
