Summer’s here and the time is right, for going to free concerts. On June 22, the Central Park Summer Stage program continues with the London-based drummer, composer, and bandleader Yussef Dayes. Dayes burst on the scene last year with an ambitious debut record called Black Classical Music, a tribute to the tradition of Miles Davis, Nina Simone, and African drumming rituals, but also a wholly contemporary record that features many of the leading figures on the thriving South London jazz scene. The Yussef Dayes Experience plays a free show on June 22 at Central Park Summer Stage.
